Hey all, searched the forums and I'm torn -- from my readings it seems that the gator is a good long-lasting belt, but that it comes with an increased noise factor -- I do a lot of driving, and if it's an annoying noise that won't do.

What are your thoughts? Worth it?

Read it here on a few of the posts - something about them being slightly bigger than OEM or something like that, making a slight 'whine' noise that a few said makes the sound of a 'mild turbo'....

I've heard nothing but good stuff about Gator Belt, which is why I have one ready to go on when I get home for leave.

The gator belts are siped for increased slippage reduction... that's what many people buy them for... i don't get the increased noise comment either...

I also heard that gatorbacks create a little whine, but I got one on my car and I don't hear anything.
