I'm looking to match my hid headlights with some hid fog lights.

Has anyone used these yet?

what do you mean by do they work?

they will be bright/glare like crazy, as discussed numerous times. If you were to get them I'd get really low Kalvin (sp) ones....somewhere in the 3000K range...which this person apparently doesnt even offer.

You can put the HID in the fog lights and it will light up a bit more, but nothing to really boast about. It doesnt give a patteren like your headlight does. Now If you change the fogs ( Stock fog lights) to Diffrent ones, then you will see a diffrence.

i mean if i want to get fog lights to replace my stock ones and i want them to be yellow because that is what cuts through the fog the best. and i want the best output.

Would stock housings with hid 3000k be best

or would a different housing with just a normal 3000k bulb be best

or a aftermarket housing and hid 3000k bulb

Stock you can get away with using with the HID bulb. If you bought an aftermarket housing you would have a clearer light, because you wouldnt have scratches and stuff, but its really how much money you want to put into it. The HID will always be clearer and brighter,if you got a halogen 3000k if wouldnt be as bright and crisp. Personally i think im just going to end up buying a 3000k hid kit for the fogs

I ordered the Ricer o I mean JDM Gold 880 hids, once they are installed and aligned i'll have pictures up. Question where the hell do i mount the ballasts for the fog lights?

I had a hard enough time finding spots to mount my hids for the headlights. Thank god for self tapping screws

Personally, I just zip tied them to the metal brace inside of the fenders right behind the headlamp asmbly. I'll dig up a pic in bit

I did the same exact thing. My kit came with some big zip ties.

Yea...I think that's the easiest way to do it.

To the OP: Whatever fogs you get, hold onto the old stock bulbs. If you have trouble locking the new bulbs into place swap the old stock gasket onto the new bulb.

Any 8 series bulb should fit.

Those aren't HIDs though, they are xenon lights.

If you're looking for HIDs, check out this website. I've got a pair of 880 bulbs for my fogs and I love them.

Dude you may as well get HID headlights.. Those things would be super bright and could be used as headlights! Go with yellow tint or something for fogs.
