I installed my Baer front track setup a few weeks ago and everything went off without a hitch. Now, the last few days I have been getting a grinding sound, metal on metal when I turn the wheel to the right. I have taken everything apart again and looked for wear marks, but no luck? There is no grinding while driving straight, or making subtle turns, but when I crank the wheel I get the grinding.
I thought is was the caliper slide rubbing on the rotors, but there is no visable wear on either.....

hmm sounds like you may need hub centric rings or your anti rattle clips are rubbing. I guess it could also be your dust shield sometimes those get bent in after a break job.

I have both hubcentric rings for my rims and the rotor rings that Baer supplies. I will have to check my dust shield......I plan on putting the car up on stands, allowing the wheels to spin freely while in drive. This will help me to pinpoint the noise, then do the same with wheels off. Hopefully I can see what is rubbing.

Front's don't have dust shields, only the rears.

Got to look at it today. Found that the outside caliper slide was rubbing against the rotor in turning situations. Used a washer between where the caliper bolts to the car and it moved the outside slide away from the rotor.

was just looking threw the vette upgrade thread and on the first page caraudiodave shows the front dust shield. Mine started rubbing after the upgrade just wanted to correct my previous post. Its been awhile since I messed with them.

Mine never had any dust shields on the front. Anyway...
That's weird that there was any contact in your brake kit Jim. But, at least you found the source of the problem and it was an easy fix. :)
