I've searched and everything i found was similar to my problem but not the same.
I'm getting a pulsating humming noise from the front left wheel. It is loudest at around 30-40 mph and gets a bit quieter when i speed up. Also, it disappears completely when i turn left but gets worse when i turn right. Wheels were aligned less than 5k miles ago right after i got new tires. I do get a bit of shimmy when braking, so it could be the rotors are warped. Maybe a wheel bearing? Any ideas? Thanks in advance

jack your car up and see if you have any play in the wheel. move it back a forth if you do have play its a wheel bearing. I replaced about 4 in the last 4 years your looking at around 200- 300 bucks

yeah it's not a big job at all its just a wheel hub you can't replace the bearing itself you have to replace the hub. but your looking at probly an hour labour 250 for the part.

you can get a timken wheel bearing for about 110$ at murray's with lifetime warranty. sweet thing about the lifetime warranty is that the left and the right are the same part # i believe.:)

mpracing sells it for about 100$ i believe. it's 3 bolts on the back, you don't have to pull the cv, fairly easy R&R.

it does sound like it's the bearing.

don't forget to plug the sensor back in when you're done.

yep - wheel bearing/hub assembly.

if you couldn't find that out from searching, i'm worried about you.

my bad, he must have dropped them. I'm almost 100% positive i saw them there. i'm sure if you ask, he'd get them.

thanks all. and i did find the wheel bearing issue. it's just that i saw nothing about the pulsing of the hum. which i thought might have been a warped rotor.
