Hey so i was walking to my car and i noticed that my exhaust pipes were saggin so i look under neath and find out that my muffler isnt even attached anymore that it just rusted off. My question is how do i take the muffler and tips off. Im going to use this as an exuse to get new piping and muffler :D
some pics to show what im talking about.
I think i have to remove these clip things in order to take from the muffler back out, how do i do it?

well i knew that my left tip was cracking and saggin a bit but i never even noticed rust by the muffler! do you know how i can take from the muffler back off? cause i dont want it to look retarded just hanging there cause its gonna be probably atleast a month before i can get the new exhaust and stuff.

Probably going to have to either but the rubber hangers or the metal hangers. Looks like whoever did it for you did a real hack job by keeping the rubber from expanding with zip ties. I dont think Id take it back to them for fixing...
Pacesetter makes a cheap exhaust system the you could replace that with and just get the muffler welded into the pacesetter pipes.

ya i thought so... it was the dealship, one time they found something wrong and they fixed it cause it was covered by warrenty.... it wasnt the same after lol... im going to have to find out a nice muffler shop somewhere around my area to take it to... Well i was just gonna upgrade the piping to i think the biggest is 2.5"? and then get a flowmaster 80 and remove the resonator. but would i buy the piping at the exhaust shop?

Only if its mandrel bent 2.5" piping, otherwise the crush bends on 2.5 piping would actually make it smaller than stock 2.25" piping. If you cant find anyone to do mandrel bends around you just go to the MPRacing.org store and buy 2 2.5 stainless U-J bends. They cost some money but they wont rust and you can cut one up to get two 90* bends and 1 45* bend which will get you to this piece:
Buy that and all you need to do is weld the muffler onto that and then use the other 90* pieces to weld on your tips.

you should get some nice tips, IMO those dont look so good.

Isn't it natural for atleast one to sag lower than the other...

haha timberwoof :P well, im planning on getting new tips (not sure which ones, thinking about c6 but not sure where to get em) because those ones are rusted and about to crack, as well as a flowmaster 80 with resonator removed, and then 2.5" piping. But all this wont be for another month or two.
