whatever color your trunk carpet is, either that or silver, or if you have a diffrent color accent going on - that color.

Sand real good till its baby butt smooth, then prime and paint just like you would a car. Clearcoat if you want it to shine.
Just make sure you do several layers of paint. and several layers of clear if you decide to.

well....... preferably not spray paint but.... do you want this to be show quality? if not you can use spray paint but it wont look nearly as good as using auto body paint.

personally thats what i would recommend. either that or if you got a friend that does body work have him do it. I just want your stuff to look as good as you want it too, i hate seeing things jerry rigged. Well i have no idea how big your box is but im guessing in the vacinity of 100 bucks give or take. Just go get some estimates at local shops, never hurts to get an estimate, they are free. You might say 100 bucks is more than i want to spend but you'll be happy you did in the long run.

yeah, you'll just have to re-sand it and then take it to the shop. If you decide to do it on your own just dont use krylon go to autozone and the like and buy automotive spray paint thats glossy. Im sure thats what you were gonna do anyways :)

i dont mind paying $100 to get it painted, i'd jsut like to have self satisfaction that i did all the work on my box myself :)

thanx for all your help, i decided i'm going to do glossy dark cherry red with silver accents in my trunk :)

The Accord you've seen on our site cost $400 to have all the panels primed & painted, a Durango I did with a custom overhead console and amp rack set us back a little under $300.

It'll depend a lot on how much finishing work they have to do. If you send it to them properly prepped, they shouldn't hit you too hard to prime & paint it.
