Juss lowered my GA on cm springs and st struts. On dry pavement handles like gold, however once any single of the front 2 wheels engage in the slightest bit of snow, the car skids visciously to the left or right. before drop, the car would never skid and now after my 1.75 drop,it is very unstable. is dis normal? should i have the mechanic readjust anything in the suspension? p.s. it was realigned after drop.

um, what kind of shape are your tires in

all season. lots of tread, note. 2 days before drop car was not skidding, symptoms arose immediately after drop.

um i dont know, maybe it was a more slippery type of snow

Was the car aligned immediately after the drop? If so, the springs wouldn't be completely settled at the time of the alignment..not sure if that could be a cause but just my .02.

i think what im trying to get at is, is there ne1 with a 1.75 + drop, that is experiencing the same problem?

Last winter, I was at stock height and now I'm lowered..I'm not having any huge issues.

Yeah, im going to get sum winter tires soon.
Aren't you worried a bit for your car?
I was going to lower it, but then I realized that I scrape the snow enough as is without lowering.
and my front end/radiator plows the snow often enough.
So I can only imagine what a drop would do.

Hass: You want the honest truth? i dropped my car on a thursday...we had a snow storm the next day up here in ottawa, 25 - 30 cm dropped within 5 hours...yes i had some trouble clearing snow but it wasnt a big deal...plenty of people have dropped cars and drive around during the winter.
and for the record...i did not know there was a snow storm coming...and dont ask me how.
