Hi.
I am hoping someone can help solve an on-going problem we are having with a 2002 Grand Am GT.

The car started running poorly some time ago. It would only go up to ~ 4000 rpm after a cold start and would not accelerate beyond that until it had been driven for ~ 20 min or more. Once it warmed up, it would accelerate slowly up to normal highway speeds. A couple of mechanics have looked at it, pulled the codes, etc, etc. The car still has the same problem even after having the following work done.

-Changed ignition module
-Changed fuel filter
-Changed upflow oxygen sensor
-Changed crank shaft position sensor
-Changed out the computer
-Changed all spark plugs and plug cables
-Changed EGR valve

If anyone could add some thought into what is wrong I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Do you even know what the codes are? If you do post them so we can have a look. Not to crap on your mechanic(s) but we own these cars and usually know what is wrong with them or where to start looking when codes get thrown. I wouldnt keep throwing parts/money at it that arent needed till you know the exact codes.

Autozone should be able to read them for free.

As WilliamGT said all we can do is suggest "maybe" this because we do not know what codes there are.
