How long does a grand am usually last? KM wise.

If you want to max it out, I've seen them come close to 320,000km (about 200,000 miles)..not many people keep them on this site to that point, many sell at what would be the 160,000-200,000km mark at the latest, some sell long before that.

Useless question... there's really no way to answer it. It all depends on where the car is driven, what kind of weather it sees, and how well the owner(s) have taken care of it. It could last 50,000 miles or it could last a million.

I currently have 268760 km on my 2001 GrandAm. I've replaced the LIM once and the power steering pump. I've also replaced each of the front hub assemblies two or three times. The last ones I put on were not OEM and they are lasting much better. It's driven in upstate NY, so weather wise, it's pretty bad conditions and I'm not the best at washing it as much as I should to remove the road salt. The hood is starting to rust, which I plan on fixing this spring, but all in all, it's been pretty good.

At this point, I'm not worried about resell value when I sell it or trade it in, I plan on dirving it (hopefully) another year, longer if it's still in good shape by then.

I'm sure there are a couple in Mexico pushing 500,000 miles... or like 874876km.

IMO, it depends on how much you want to spend from your wallet...

Example, on my GA that needed changing over the last couple of years:
Power steering hoses
Water pump
LIM gaskets
Front end control arm bushings
Struts & coil springs
Multi-function switch
Battery
Tie Rod Ends
Ignition key cylinder/PassLock II sensor
O2 sensors
EVAP system wire/connector

I have had my GA since it had 4 miles. It now has over 130,000.
Besides regular maintenence, here is what I had to replace so far.

- airbag sensor
- battery
- alternator
- flexpipe
- multi-function switch
- LIM
- water pump
- sunroof glass

I think that's about it. I consider my GA as one of the most reliable ones on this board.

My old Ga has been pretty good to my sister and I (Idk how to convert miles to KM lol) but we bought it with 112k on it and it now has like 160k on it and the only thing we've had to do other then maintenance crap is the LIM one time.
