maybe u could try STP gas treatment. That will be really helpful like I always put it in my GA

If hes getting bad mileage a tank of injector cleaner is not going to be a magic bullet. You really only need to use that stuff every couple of oil changes. Anything more than that and youre just wasting your money.

STP gas treatment is only at least $2 so it's not like wasting money. I do agree with you about oil changes but make sure you do that every 3000 miles ya know. Also check on air filter.

Yeap, mine gets ****ty MPG as well. I need to to some work on my car. Good thing winter is over. I feel like I fill up way too frequently. Having a small gas tank helps too.

I think our gas tank is about 13 gallons? I think that's pretty small for a V6.

Last tank i only got 15 mpg. I do all city driving and sit at stoplights a lot. Still sucks. I have new spark plugs, air filter ect. I might change the fuel filter becuase i have not done that and its cheap.

I know its common sense and its hard to put into practice all the time but Ive never gotten worse than 17 MPG in the city just by never reving over 2K rps from a stop. The only time I go over that is when Im getting on the highway.

I dont have to prove my car to anyone unless Im at the track because frankly the 94 it takes this car to keep from knocking with the supercharger is not cheap.

Um, say what now? Doesn't the GA have a 14.3 gallon tank, regardless of trim? I think the only 'upsize' was a 15 gallon tank on the Alero sedan...

15.9 gallon? I think not....

1999 got a 15.0 gallon
2000 got a 14.3 gallon
2001 got a 14.3 gallon
2002 got a 14.1 gallon
2003 got a 14.1 gallon
2004 got a 14.1 gallon

got the manuals from here
Owners manual download (http://www.devicemanuals.com/guide/Automobile/Pontiac/Pontiac-Grand-Am-Owner's-Manual-2004-==TVRFd01qRXo=.html)

going through part numbers
99 is all by itself meaning thats the only year it will work with
00-03 are different
04-05 are different too

Lame... Why they thought that extra gallon wasn't worth keeping is beyond me... I can't even count the number of times an extra gallon would have been helpful!

They should have some mod out there that can extend the space of your gas tank
