View Full Version : ETS problem

My traction control will no longer turn on. I'm thinking maybe the switch is shot, but I'm not familiar with the traction control system, so what else could go wrong to cause this? I don't use it anyway, but I would like to fix it so it doesn't affect resale value. Some troubleshooting pointers would be great. Thanks!

You should have a code for what the ets problem is. Going to have to get it read. Alot of time the bearings will produce this problem, if the electronics go in them.

No code. My light came on a few days ago, so I had it checked and it wasn't that (girlfriend didn't put the gas cap on tight enough). I'm going to test the switch on the shifter and hope that's it since I know very little about traction control.

Oh its a 96 - was thinking the newer model lol
Humm Ya the only thing would be to testing every piece of the trac control system. Have you searched to see if anyone else has had this problem?
