View Full Version : vacuum hose whistle?

Just a quick one - when cold in the mornings or after she has sat for a while during the day I get a noticeable whistle coming from the engine, that follows the rpm up to about 2500... It goes away after driving for a few minutes... I've checked intake (stock), hoses, etc. and they seem fine -- maybe I'm missing something, I don't know. Any other things I should be checking?

I got a whistle and rpm rise when I replaced my throttle body. I had a small leak causing a big problem. Maybe that gasket between the intake manifold and th throttle body needs to be replaced. Just an idea.

Maybe, but is that something that would just go? True, is is 8 years old w/ 100k miles on it, but I've not done any mods or anything.... The only time I've even messed with the intake is to change a filter or when I cleaned my MAF...
