Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, didn't find one this really applied to. At the salvage yard I work at a 96-98 body style Limited Edition GT coupe came through today. It had the same motor as mine, all I noticed that was different were the badges shown below (I yanked them off). What's the difference between this and a normal GT like mine? How common are they?

Hmm I've never seen those. How easily did thet come off? Did it seem like they were factory applied?

The wierd thing is I think I just saw another one parked at a local muffler shop. I might go by there again and check it out. The badges looked better before I pulled them. They had a slilver background, alot of which peeled off when I removed them. The arrowhead was on the front, obviously, and the round ones were on the c-pillars. Oh, also the GT part of the Grand Am GT logos were in purple. Both cars were black. In case anyone was wondering, no I don't plan to use them. I think they would look terrible on a red car.

IIRC it was a gold package something olympic related it was just badges and a stripe.

Hmm. I didn't see a stripe though. It's wierd that I can't find it on any searches.

Could be something a dealer put on there or something. I've seen "special edition" stickers on cars that have some pinstriping.... and thats it lol
did you check out www.gaownersclub.com? they know a bit more about pre-99 GA's than us.

I know the '80's modeled GA's came as LE or SE. I think the GT'S came in a little bit later.
