Well, this is my first time Zaino-ing and I figured I would throw some pictures up and see what everyone thinks. Don't let me fool you, I really just wanted to show off my new digital Camera (Canon Powershot G2)! :D

Go to http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/thehunter21 it's in the Zaino Days album.

Couple pictures of my baby. Then there are the other pictures of my friends vehicles...one car is missing a honda civic (black) which shines very well now.

The Yellow S-10 is a 2002, the Green/Blue is a '95, and the Red is a '94. Mine (the really nice one) is a 2001 Galaxy Silver...just in case you couldn't find it. :p

For how well the two older ones cleaned up...Zaino is a true miracle product. Definitely the best that any of them have ever seen. They didn't know about Zaino till I forced them to go in on it with me...hehe :) I've made a bunch of new believers.

Hope you guys like.

It will last us...doing a good zaino coating twice a year...about 4 to 5 years. Might have to buy some Z6 or little more Z2.

Well worth it in my opinion...nothing has made the two older trucks shine like they are now...and they have tried just about anything (including zymol). Definitely impressed.

...hey that tire is not flat...it's just low profile! lol. :D

Thanks for the compliments. If anyone needs help with zaino, got it figured out how to get 4 cars done in 2 days! Should only take you a good 5 to 6 hours to complete. :)

Not quite true.... If you use Z-1 you should wait 6 hours between each coat. If you use ZFX, wait about 30 mins to and hour with no more than 3 coats (Z-2 + Z-5) in 24 hours. I was able to finish my car in three days. Let me tell you it's worth the wait. I've got two coats each of Z-2 and Z-5 and my cars shines like crazy! The paint is more reflective than the glass. :D

Yeah, so say...
All with ZFX.

Wash & Claybar & Re-wash - 1 hour
Z2 (35 minutes total - application & curing)
Z6 (5-10 minutes)
Z5 (35 minutes total - application & curing)
Z6 (5-10 minutes)
Z2 (35 minutes total - application & curing)
Z6 (5-10 minutes)
Z5 (35 minutes total - application & curing)
Z6 (5-10 minutes)
Z2 (35 minutes total - application & curing)
Z6 (5-10 minutes)
Z5 (35 minutes total - application & curing)
Z6 (5-10 minutes)
Z2 (35 minutes total - application & curing)

Now, this is with 2 people...which does make it go a lot faster...and not including any of the other stuff (tire & windows and what not) ...that comes out to just about 6-7 hours.

I'll correct my statement of the 5 hours. :)

You alternated between z5 and z2?? I use the z5 until I like the look.. then straight on to the z2 from then on.

StarFire

yep, I found out that the car looks a lot better alternating between the two. I checked and it doesn't really hurt...and it seems to last longer (my one friend who showed me zaino for the first time, actually has had his car last 1 full year without any applications) and it still looked awesome. I dunno.

On the one car we did keep doing Z5 until it looked good, but it didn't seem to appear as well as the ones where we alternated. This car is the one that isn't in the pictures that we did.

That's a lot of time for simply waxing a car....I'll take a good hour to do mine....and isn't that a hella lot of applications?...I mean damn....nother question...What do you guys use to put on and take this crap off?

It is a lot of time...but if you take into consideration that you are standing around (or going and doing someting else)...it's not that bad. If that was a straight 6+ hours of working...I don't think it would be worth it. lol. :boogie:

You have to remember that you aren't putting on applications, it molecularly bonds to itself...so in essence it's a single "layer" by the time you are finished.

I just used a regular applicator to apply it with (same thing they give you when you buy zaino...sponge & cloth) and a couple of US cotton towels.

On top of that.. it's really not wax.. You might take a good hour, but you'll need to take an hour every week if you want to keep up how good the zaino looks + protects :/

More layers = Less Swirl Mark visibility.

Wax requires MORE work... First, it is a pain in the arse to apply and wipe off.. requiring a good bit of elbow grease and heavy contact to the paint's surface. Zaino wipes on and off with hardly any pressure. Simply dragging a towel across the paint will begine to remove the hazed polish.

Second, Wax only lasts a few washes or even a couple 90+ degree days kills any protection it gives... meaning you have to re-apply at least monthly.

Third, if you truely want to protect your car's finish, you do what you have to do. I personally like the UV40 benefit especially on a dark car.

Lastly, nothing shines and hides imperfections like Zaino. Nothing can come close. If you want your car to look like just any other car on the road, use a wax. If you want it to stand out, and be asked by total strangers what you use to get your car looking so shiney (even months after polishing), use Zaino.

Good call VaGT.

Hey what does Brgh Fan for? Is it what I think it is for?

VaGT

Pittsburgh Fan.... It becomes even more obvious surrounded by my Steelers License plate frame... hehe

I get quite a few compliments down here with it.. I have only had it for about a month or so. Lots of Steeler fans down here. The other day, I pulled into a Grocery Store, and on the way inside an older man yelled "Go Steelers" as he sat there waiting for his wife (I assume). He saw me pull in :-).

The office I work at has about 40 employees... Probably 20 of them men, of those 20, there are about 3-4 Steeler fans in the bunch. Oh, and I have two neighbors (Apt's) who are Steeler fans too.

Thank God for NFL Sunday Ticket!

Starfire,
I've got a question for you about this process. I just got my Zaino and plan to put it on my car for the first time this weekend. The instructions are a bit confusing--especially with the ZFX. This is what I'm planning on doing and want to do it in one day:

Claybar
(Z5, Z6, Z2, Z6) x3 using ZFX enabled Z2 and Z5

Here's my question: the back of the ZFX kit says "apply no more than 3 coats of ZFX in a 24-hour period." The application tips on the Zaino site say "apply no more than 3 coats of Zaino Show Car Polish (which I'm assuming is Z2) enabled with ZFX in a 24-hour period." Which is it? It looks like you applied 7 coats of ZFX enabled product (4 of Z2 and 3 of Z5) in a 24-hour period and didn't have a problem. If I use the instructions from the Zaino site, then I wouldn't count the ZFX enabled Z5 in the total. This stuff is confusing and any help would be appreciated :(

I suppose I could just do 3 coats (Z5, Z2, Z5) on Saturday and then 3 coats on Sunday (Z2, Z5, Z2).

JHawk I would recommend the 3 coats one day and then three about 12 hours later (dont drive the car in between). You will be amazed at how your car looks!

Do z5/zfx until you like the results, then swap to z2/zfx, with no more than 3 coats total within 24 hrs.
