ok, so i havent been able to adjust my seat down since early winter, and its finally getting on my nerves. one day i just decided to raise my seat all the way up during a storm so i could see the road better. when i tried to lower it back down later, it wouldnt move. the motor sounds like its still working, but its not doing any good. any suggestions on what the problem may be?
Never mind... i finally found the problem in a search.. couldnt seem to find it before..

Its probably the worm gear in the motor under the seat, its just plastic so it breaks pretty easy.
This is the motor that the gear is in.
This is the part that the gear is attached to. It is a push and pull system.
Mine took a ****t about six months ago and the dealer wanted $250 for the bottom of the seat, they don't sell just the part with the gear on it. You will have to take your seat pretty much all the way apart so get it out. Its held in by two roll pins.
That is if this is your problem.
yeah, mine does the same.
Motor sounds like it works fine.
but when i run it, it just sounds like a ticking sort of.
like the gear isn't hitting right.
It's been like that since I got the car.
Doesn't bother me.
