How do you discharge/recover the AC system? In the manual it says this has to be done first before replacing the radiator.

When I replaced the radiator on my '96, I was able to move the A/C "radiator" out of the way. IDK if you can do that with the 99+.
You need a machine to capture the gas in the system.

You should be able to remove the radiator without taking out the A/C. Might have to take some more stuff off the front to get to the bolts holding them together... but it should be possible. You have to drop the lower support and take it out the bottom. Just make sure you do something to support the A/C condenser so the lines don't get bent.
But anyway, yeah to discharge/recharge the A/C you need a special machine they have at the dealership or mechanics shop.

thanks....i guess i'll let them install a new radiator in the fall...most of the fins on mine are bent and the temp guage is a little higher then it used to be last summer.
