Is it a difficult job to replace a stock cat on an 03 GT?
When looking at alldata instructions it looks pretty simple but I have not found a thread here with someone replacing it themselves.

On our cars, flexpipe, downpipe, and the cat is all one piece, in that order.
It should be a simple bolt on unless you just want to cut out the damaged cat and weld the new one on.

Don't throw the old cat away. They are getting good money for them on ebay. $50+

It's a simple process to unbolt the old downpipe and cat and put a new one in. It can be hard with hand tools though because the nuts that hold it to the rear manifold are often rusted and hard to get off without an impact wrench. You'll need some penetrating oil for sure, and some long extensions to reach them. You'll have to take out both O2 sensors also and place them in the new downpipe.
