The cap on the low end pressure side of the A/C system somehow fell off and over years (I presume) of use of the vehicle, it was compacted with dirt and debris. My A/C quite working so I soaked it with WD40, blew it out, scraped a little (carefully) blew it out and repeated about 3-4 times until it was as clean as I could get it. After hooking up the manifold gage set and seeing that the pressures were decent, I decided it must be something other than loss of coolant.

Well, the valve must have developed a slow leak after my efforts and now there is no pressure in the system. The high end I can unscrew easily, but the low end refuses to budge and is much harder to get to. Does it unsrew? I was afraid that it possibly wasn't meant to unsrew. If it doesn't how can I fix it without replacing the entire section of the A/C line that it's on?
