View Full Version : Help with connecting ebrake wire to navigation

I installed a pioneer 700bt . its all hooked up except for the wire that hooks up to the e brake. I pulled out my venter console but i only see one blue wire going to the back of the ebrake. im assuming its a ground but the pioneer manual show two wires going to the ebrake. i hooked it up to the wire and it gets juice but it does not turn on and off with the handle raising and lowering. I would just leave it but if the wire is connected to a constant the unit says not installed properly on the screen. Please help.

once the unit detects improper installation it will not let me enter in addresses or change any settings. i can run the wire connected to a switch but i would rather just hook it up to my parking brake. any one with any information please help. i need to put my car back together and i want to make sure this wire is run properly before i do that. thanks
