I was calling around this morning for a mechanic to replace the T-Stat Housing, T-Stat, Coolant Flush, and Oil & Filter Change. Anyway, the guy at Firestone told me that the thermostat on my sons 1998 Grand Am was on the bottom of the engine and the exhaust had to be removed to access it. He said the T-Stat was not under the T-Stat housing. Does this sound rediculous to anyone else? I found a post on this site that showed pics of where a T-Stat should likely be.
