Ok. 2nd dumb question in the same week.

I got a new set of Monroe Ceramic pads for the front.
It came with a small package of black lubricant.

What is this for? - the directions do not say anywhere.

the only thing I ever lube on frnt brakes are the caliper slide bolts.

I dont like putting any grease anywhere near the pads or pad ends.

??

Does it have a label that indicates that it is a lubricant? If it is a lube, it could be for the slider pins or at the ends of the pads where the metal tab ride on the bale.

It could be an adhesive that is used to hold the pad onto the caliper pads to reduce squeal.

Maybe you can check the Monroe site.

It says MOLY LUBE

so I am thinking caliper pins or ends of pads...
