Which side of the caliper is the pad that uses the wear sensor?

Is the pad with the springy clip on the piston (inboard) side or the outside?

I believe the clip is supposed to be on the trailing side but cant recall
if its in or outside.

The crappy paperwork with the pads doesnt indicate and I think there is
a difference.

I believe the pas with the feeler should go on the inside, the one against the piston. Generally that pad will wear slightly faster than the outer pad.

Take a look at the other side..
I think it goes on the back too b/c the front are big and there is not alot of room between the caliper and the pad holder.

I played around both ways on these pads.
Seem to fit just a bit better with the pad using the squeal tab on the inside
facing the caliper piston.

On my other ponitac cars, the pads can only go on 1 way due to the fasteners and ironically on those cars, the squeal tabs are on the outboard side.

It would be nice to find out for sure.
