fitting SC/T kit to 1996 GAGT, will it work.

alright well my buddy Darren gets his body kit for his 97 GAGT hes goin to give me his GT front bumper and rear bumper, im goin to smooth them over once i get them then go and get the SC/T front lip would it be posible to be fitted. like i kinda need to find out how long the lip is, this way i can think it through. i know im goni to go with it. and im goin to do it just kinda need to find one that way i can measure it up and all.

what yall say, do you think it would look good and would it work. plese be honest, and if you know someone else that has one on there 96-98 series GA lit me know i need to talk to them.

I don't think it will even fit... the SC/T kit is made for 99+ GAs

I'm gonna have to say it would probably be worth buying a 99+ for all the time and money you'd be putting into that. I can't even imagine the amount of fabrication necessary to make it look remotely good, not to mention I really don't think the rest of the car will flow.

well i guess its something i can try, and see. if not im goin to custom fab a lip for it myself i want something different and then if i dont like it after a while then ill go buy a blitz kit for it, then fab the kit some then be done with it.

and if it dont flow then ill try and make it flow right. if it done work then it dont work. i can find the front lip on ebay if i want to, then start the fab on the GT bumper right away. if i do it i will post pics up of it and see what ya guy think, im thinkin the same thing it might not flow properly but you never know till you try.

Where are you seeing the lip on ebay?

i havent looked yet, but you can find it on ebay if you have patience. i may not find it today or tomarrow, not even in a week or two but once i find it im gettin it so i can work on it.

true, its a very rare occurance to find them on there, just check the forums and the bay and one will eventually turn up

i figured that too. ive been lookin around to find them parted out. like one piece sold out at one time but all i have found is the whole kit. 699$ was the only one ive looked at so far. not sure if thats cheap or not, to me 700$ for the one lip to then go and sell the side skirts and the rear bumper lip for maybe half the price wont be worth it. if it doesnt work.

well my cousin can get me the molding materials for free, just need to get the lip, i just want something different. i dont want to look the same as another 96-98 GA

i was goin to but then i cant do small changes to make it look right but i think im goin to anyways, ill have my buddy get it photohsopped for me sometime.
