i was wonding if about 500bucks is worth a motor swap for my 99 gagt?

Size of engine - is that just labor and misc parts/oils?

think he may be saying he needs a repair and it cost 500 bucks.
and do you think he should just go ahead and swap out motors.
if thats the case if u can get a low millage for the same or less and can do the work youself go for it.

yes its 500 labor and fluids i got a used motor with 1yr warranty
doesn't sound that bad of a deal to me.
Do they know how many miles are on the new motor?
Considering a LIM repair at a shop goes for 700+... I don't see that being bad at all for a swap.

they told me it has roughly about 80k on the motor

Is your new motor complete? If so, is there anyway of telling if the LIM has been changed in it's lifetime... may be a thing to consider doing before dropping it in.

it has ben changed they take everything off and put new gaskets in before they sell there motors

national standard time to remove and replace motor, about 12hr. my shops labor rate $99 an hour. no mater what, $500 good deal if motor has a warrenty
