Well we just got my girlfriends 99 se with 99,000 miles back from the shop. I am proud to say that for the small fee of $450 the service engine, abs, and traction light are all off. Her rear passenger turn signal now works. $99 for the circuit board. I sure hope this is not a sign of things to come for my 04 gt
.They did a evaporation system smoke test $60, oil change $20, rear taillight board $100, right front hub bearing installation $225, gas cap with possibility of needing fuel filler neck $20 and tax $26.

I would say get used to it. I've had more electrical problems in the past year of owning my GAGT than any of the 6 other (domestic and import) cars I've owned in my lifetime. Don't get me wrong, I thing that the GA is a good looking car that has potential, but GM really missed the ball when it came to quality for the electrical components.

I thank GM every single time I have to bang my hand on my dash to make my blinkers work.

i had all three of those lights on! it was right after i put in my underglow. i did some drilling in the bottom of the car so i got scared that i had drilled into wires that were in the area because i couldn't get them to go off. i didn't, but i lifted up the carpet and checked the wires, they were ok, then when i turned the car on they weren't there anymore... so idk if its just bad wiring or what.

I have learned to ignore most lights.... my security one has been on for a month now, next time I tear it apart I'll tape it over lol

GM actually cleared my security light and SES light for free when I swung in there getting my hazards replaced.... the security came back on, but still.

I've been noticing my security light coming on every so often lately. I park, shut off the car and start it back up and it goes out.

-My GF and her Dad are VW fans, and my family and I have owned our share of Gm cars. I would say that they are both on par. Sure, the VW will rust quicker, and is made of poor fitting plastic, but I can't seem to start the dam GA (consistantly) from all of its electrical BS.
