Long story short... I cracked my intakes and had to get new ones. Well - used ones.

I have already installed the new lower intake but that's as far as I got. I have a 99 GA but the intakes I was able to get a hold of are off a newer model and a couple things are a little different.

1. My egr mounts vertically. The new upper intake looks like it will only mount one horizontally.

2. The coolant pipe that plugs into the thermostat housing on the lower intake is threaded and won't accept my pipe - which originally just slid into it.

What are my options here?

Tomorrow, I'm going to find an identical upper intake so that I can use my egr.

But as far as the coolant pipe... I'm lost here. The lower intake is in.

for the egr you have 2 choices... 1 buy the new egr stuff or you can find another 1999 UIM that will match your current EGR setup

for the coolant pipe you can probably find one in the junkyard as well or at least purchase one from a stealership or gmpartsdirect

Thanks for the reply

I know atleast one auto salvage has an upper intake for me so that's what I'll do.

As far as the coolant pipe... you're saying just buy a whole new pipe for the new threaded style housing?

its really not that big of a pipe and also shouldnt be very exspensive IIRC. if you already have the LIM bolted in and you dont wanna pull it back off then you pretty much dont have any other choice
