Hey all, first off I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I didn't find anything.
What are some easy to do and/or cheap and/or quick to do appearance mods that can be done to my GA? It's all stock atm, just the red accents inside currently. I'm looking to finish/sand them and all that, but I was just wondering about anything else you guys know of.

Yeah, that was one of the first things I did. My car was debadged when I got it, I already spoke on the painting, tint is obvious (BUT also not cheap).

if u dont think tint is cheap, then seriously leave your car stock. Before you know it it'll be riced out via autozone products.
tint>drop>rims>whatever

:nono:
I'm referring to the fact that tinting is about $150 to have done (I think, been like a year+ since I last checked). And before you bring it up, I'm not doing it myself. I don't trust myself enough to do that.
So, yes, $150+ is not expensive, however it is also not cheap. Yes, it's cheaper than other things, but let's ignore that fact, okay? Think a bit harder, and give some other ideas. I've already considered cleared black headlights as well, but again those are over $100. I'm looking for stuff under $100 that look good.
FYI - nothing I own will ever be riced out, :asshat

There isn't much thats cheap out there that isn't painting something or removing something. Go look thru the "ultimate GA gallery" thread for ideas

Yeah, I thought about LEDs, I just gotta make a plan for them
True true. I have the rubber antenna from that site, but I think the other one will be better. It's fine, I just didn't realize it was so bendy. No big deal, though, cause it doesn't warp or anything, and I drive for 75 twice a day for work
I thought about some vinyl, also from grafxwerks, and that stuff too, just haven't been too sure on things. I was thinking of doing a red insert for my molding and for the PONTIAC lettering (reflective, possibly, on the lettering), possibly the frosted GT decal for headlights (when I get new ones), an overlay for the arrowhead, some grille inserts, 3rd brakelight decal, etc
What about the tinting of the tails? I know I've heard/seen that, but does that involve separating the housing? or am I thinking of clearing them?
Also, the paint (or whatever) on my B-pillars is peeling. Is the stock stuff just paint? I've been wondering how best to fix that, and i know grafxwerks sells overlays for them. Would those work, providing I get the old stuff off?
Thanks for the replies
edit: As for 'how cheap' - cheap, but not tacky, I suppose that best describes it lol

The best cheap mod you can do is clean your car. Take about a hour or two to vacuum and detail the inside.

Anything you do for 100 dollars wont be worth it. I can think of 2 things
1) Buying new floor mats for your car
2) hooking up some lights.
The latter is personal taste tho. I hate lights.
You cant do anything for 100 dollars or less that will make the car stand out in a crowd. (In a positive way)
Theres plenty of things you can do to make it look like ****
Chrome fender flares
type R stickers
Stick on hood scoops
Hubcaps
maybe you can replace your exhaust tips but i donno if u wanna do that yourself

I agree, I have several things from customgrandam.com. Most of the stuff there adds a subtle, but sweet look to the car and is usually less than $20. And their service is great too!

Yeah, I was just trying to see what little stuff I could do and get that out of the way. I think I'm just gonna go with black cleared headlights, a new (aluminum) antenna, and possibly tint.
Thanks again though!

I will try to be helpful.
A simple alternative to your headlights, since u want to get the clear / black housing ones i assume, in the stock style... is to just paint over the orange turn signal. They sell vinyls for this, or u can spend $5 on some plastic spray paint and some tape. If its done right it will look decent, if not it will look tacky.
heres my car with that on http://cardomain.com/ride/2196738
ive recently upgraded to halo projectors and I will tell u it is worth the saving up. but if you are looking for "quick fixes" temporarily to just have something until u get the dough, try this.
You can do alot with paint inexpensively if you know what you are doing, and don't over do it.
Look at my windshield wiper guard on the bottom left of the windshield. Red paint can...
oh and u can paint tail lights sort of, the 2nd page of that link is my old car (yes ROFL at it but hey i was 16 and my first car) a few CD's and some tape and a spray can and u can change the back of your car alot.
Just some ideas :)
