View Full Version : Another water in the rear floor board Q

Alright after searching all the threads on this topic I am getting slightly discouraged. My car has a sunroof and most people get h2o in the floors from clogged drains. Today I did as they say and poured water in each of the 4 drain holes to find that water in fact goes all the way through and onto the ground in the drain locations. Now Ive heard about "holes in the heater core" and misc openings that can get water in the cabin while driving. Every time Ive noticed water is been after the car sitting in the rain. The sealant on the sunroof looks good, so Im kinda stumped. Anyone else have any ideas where the water can be comming from? Its only on the rear floorboards.

Sounds like your rear doors are not sealing properly (?).
My '99 GA sedan had a rear door seal problem.
It was so bad that, it sounded like a window was open at highway speeds.
The dealer outsourced it to a body shop to fix.
They ended up bending the door frame at the top to seal better.
But it never got the rear wet though.
