Just thought I'd post a little lament. Finally got rid of the car after having her for 8.5 years. The exhaust started falling apart, and the little things here and there to keep her running was starting to be more than what she was worth. So it was with sadness that I had to throw in the towel.
Bought it July 4th weekend 2000 with only 20 miles on it, ran her until 155,000. She was broke into twice, and fortunately with the way I drive, the only major things that were replaced were a hub assembly and lower head gaskets. Normal wear and tear of course too.
Joined the board in fall 02 and had fun running around with the MI crew - Noonan meets and plant tours in Lansing. Even included a rather lengthy trip up to Toronto with Adam (athomas) to visit RSM when they were developing a SC way back in 03. I remember meeting Spoon in Lansing, the developer for our platform who had a manual with a EM SC, and meeting Jace who let us tool around in the car sporting the brand new exterior options 2 years before they hit the market - hood and wing option at the dealer.
On the positive side, she was good to me over the years. Great car, took me everywhere, and stayed looking nice the whole time. Interior, springs, sways, and STBs was all she needed for me. So sadly, I have to say goodby to all, it was a ton of fun over the years, closing the GAGT chapter and opening the BMW one. And of note, I still have these wheels if anyone is interested. BYE!!!

Still looking purty even at 150,000
