Carbon fiber hood

Has anyone seen this carbon fiber hood? I found it on ebay. I'm thinking of painting my car hot pink and putting a carbon fiber hood on it. I was just wondering what you guys thought about this hood?

i saw that the other day. i dont think anyone has that hood and its hard to say what itll look like on the car. i think the sc/t hood probably looks better. but thisll be your only chance to have a non-stock/flat CF hood. go for it.

AJ's right. Looks like it's just a fiberglass hood with a black gel coat finish. I wonder how the fit and finish is on it? I've seen some very good hoods, and some that need a lot of work. Either way, if it was finished and painted properly I think that hood would look pretty good on a GA. Maybe not as good as the SC/T hood, but much better than some of the others out there. I say give it a try. I wouldn't paint the car pink though! Yeah, might look good for a girl to drive, but you'll have a hard time selling the car if you ever decide to sell it. ;)

If you do decide to paint it, maybe go for a more universally liked color, like a dark blue or dark silver? You could do pink vinyl graphics on those if you wanted and they would be removable. I've seen some subaru wrx's with both those color schemes that were pure hotness!

LOL i asked the seller about the hood becuase it shows CF but clearly states fiberglass. so i told him to put an actual pic up. his response was "its made of fiberglass with carbon fiber" WTF? i wanted to reach through my computer and strangle him

I know the item description is really ****ed up!! That probably means that the hood is a no go!! As to painting my car pink its either that or lime green and its my car! I want something that stands out and I know plenty of girls dying to have a pink car, so selling it probably wouldn't be a problem. And I'm tried of everyone thinking my car belongs to my boyfriend!! Doesn't everyone want something different then the same old thing!! Or is that just me?

pink = ok if you're going big with mods, making it a show car type thing. On a mostly stock car, it looks odd.
