Well, my little girl was born on 10/13/08 and the wife and I realized that the Escape just doesn't have enough room. So....we went car shopping today and found a 2006 Hyundai Azera Limited. Has anyone had any experience with them? I just need some input/advice be it good or bad.

How is your escape 2 small? It's 4 doors with large cargo area enough room for 2 baby seats. I say don't waste your money and put it towards a 529 plan for the kid.

A. Your Escape is big enough.
B. If you buy something else, buy American. Do not buy a Hyunghey

well theres practically no back seat leg room..... my family looked at them too. if you want rear room, look at equinox's or torrents. you can pick up a 06 or 07 for low to mid teens

Yeah, because his kid is going to pop out and become 6"2 in a matter of days.:hay:
Now here is the questions is your escape paid off?
If not how much is on the current loan?
What will be the difference between what you owe and the value the dealership will trade ?
Here is a trailblazer in your area for $15,000

The answer is no.
The remaining total = $9,655
The dealership is saying that they will give me $9,000 estimation.
Trailblazer = no.
The wife doesn't want another SUV, the Escape is actually VERY small when you try to shove a rear facing car seat, one 6'1 male and a 5'7 female, along with a stroller, diaper bag and other misc bull**** into it. What were really focusing on is long distance trips such as to my brothers in VA. We want something with good backseat room, and truck/cargo room.
Oh, and forgot to mention, the Azera is estimated to get 28 mpg highway compared to my 17 mpg highway, so that has a big factor also.

I use my GA as a daily driver. I had a rear facing car seat in the back, I'm 6'2" 220 lbs, my wife is about 5'7" and we carry alot of crap on our trips including a dog, and the GA is big enough. Don't really see how the Escape is any smaller.
But good luck with your vehicle search. I hear the new malibus have good room in the too.

What's wrong with Hyundai?
Their cars are getting better and they are selling more, while the company that produced our cars is about to go bankrupt?

I picked up an Equinox about a month ago. Fully loaded certified 05 for $14000 out the door. Its one of the crossovers but basically a small SUV.
Driver\passenger has pleanty of room. I'm 6' 230 lbs and fit with lots of room, my father-in-law is 6'11" and fits comfortably inside also.
The rear seat is adjustable as it can slide forward or backward. If you slide it all the way back you sacrifice some cargo room, but gain a large amount of leg room. I could sit back there with the driver seat all the way back and still have room to move my legs if that gives you a good idea. Seat also has a 40/60 split and each side can be reclined if needed or folded down for more cargo room (front passenger also folds down for longer cargo).
Even with the seat all the way back, there is still pleanty of cargo room, enough to fit 2 strollers or a full size Labrador.
Gas mileage for me has been 17-19 city and about 26-28 Highway so far (on my 9th tank).
I truly loved my GA, but i am not disappointed in this car at all so far.

Look into the pilot or the 4runner / rav4. IMO much nicer and more quality for a fairly comparable price.

$15,000!!!! REALLY???!!!! THATS IT??!!! WOW WHAT A DEAL.
sorry... I just needed to jump in. Terrible price. Absolutely horrendous in a market where trucks don't sell at all. Before I left the dealer (and in fact I think they STILL have it) we had a 2004 TB Extended with Rear DVD.... 52k miles ... 11,995. And it STILL didn't book out.
I already saw that he said no to the TB... but for anyone looking at them? Why?

Well the wife and I picked up an 06 Dodge Magnum with 11,560 miles, it has enough room and maybe this time the wife won't bitch me out for not consulting with her 1st. Oh well, it's nice, and rides very well. Thanks for everyone's opinions and advice. We'll see how this works out.

Well, I do believe that I'm the one that owned the Escape and............not you, yep, I do believe so. The Magnum has SO MUCH MORE ROOM than the Escape. We made a step in the right direction. Graxall, your opinion is an epic fail, you fail at life. Have a nice day.
