Guys I have been noticing that alot of people around the board have the strut tower brace mod done to thier GA's. Is this a costly mod? can anyone briefly hightlight the steps involved in the completion of this mod?

Under $200 bucks..

Buy the bar, bolt it on the tower.. Most times existing bolts will work. VERY easy to do..

$119 for the front, $80 for the back. Easy to install I assume as you can easily get to where they bolt on.

go to www.pfyc.com (Click the banner above). They are under "Suspension and brakes"

or go to www.slponline.com and look for part#'s:
70019 (front)
70020 (rear)

i just got the rear and i love it. plus each bar is only $99 whereas tnl bars are $120. excellent strut brace IMO.

truthfully, what is the difference w/ just the front? and how does it affect it when you hvae the back? i just have no clue what they are supposed to do, or if they work good. thanks all!

(((IMO)))

truthfully, i had the front STB for 2 yrs (my 1st mod) and noticed a marginal steering/handling improvement.

now placing the rear STB, that made a significant difference for me. i would say get both if you got the $200, but otherwise grab the rear first, then do the front. also, i would say even go for the rear sway bar before doing the front. you have enough inertia in the front of our cars to resist body roll. our cars are very tail happy and light in the pants, IMO. from my experience i wish i had improved the rear 1st. your steering will be more snappy too.

again, this is just my personal opinion.

You are right it would be alot better to buy within Canada..but is it the same product www.slponline.com is selling?

it's shaped a little bit differently, but i don't believe there would be much difference in handling.
i threw mine on over a year ago and noticed the difference in handling immediately:thumbs:
