Sounds like heater core or evap issues.

On my '96 Achieva, water leaked through the seams in the cowl. I pulled the wiper arms and cover to silicone the joints. Others had holes in the firewall where the wheel wells and firewall came together.

what the wet floors that most people refer to is the heater core leaking, or the evap drain plugged. since your car has been sitting for a while and not running, this is prob not your problem, most likely water getting in from out side. tru going to a touchless carwash and see if you can see any leaks.

what do you mean a touchless carwash? and i had a mechanic that put my new motor in my car check the sunroof and he said that was not the prob he said it might be the windshield

Passenger or Drivers side?

i believe it was both. but like i said it was all frozen from condensation. but i do remember when i moved the car in the fall it had alot of water on the driver side that i had to shopvac out

a touchless car wash, like the ones at gas stations the only have that arm that gose around your car, no brushes. they are like big pressure washers so if you have a bad seal, it will most likely leak. mine did when it was the windshield on the pass A piller.

so i should take the car to a carwash like that and just blast all my seals and see if any leak?

A very common cause of a water leak is the plastic barrier inside the door panel. The door panel is very easy to remove (do a search).

ok i took the car to a car wash and found out that it starts leaking when i start running water down the windshield...any ideas about why it would leak while i do that?

Either the windshield isn't sealed or it's coming in at the cowl.
