Won't hurt anything. The computer has a rev limiter that won't let the engine rev up past 3000rpm when in park or neutral anyway. It just revved up a little because you had the throttle down and when it shifted into neutral there was no load on the engine anymore. That's all.

Are you sure it's 3k, Aaron? Mine is about 4k I think.

I will take Aarons word for it, but I also could have sworn mine was in b/w 3-4k

Oh I'm not 100% sure... but it's in that range somewhere. I'd have to pull my laptop out and fire it up to check my bin file and see what the stock data is for that, and I don't feel like taking the time to do that right now. :heh: Been a long day. All I remember for sure is I changed that in my program and reset it to the normal rev limit.

you can change that when you custom tune it right? or completely disable it?

The rev limiter is between 3-4k when in park or at a standstill in neutral. If you're moving at anything that requires a bit of power then the limit is redline when in neutral.

Regardless, unless you rev'd it up to 6k (for example) and immediately shifted into drive you're fine.

^^^^^^
standstill is like 3k-4k. Going over like 10mph the car will go to rev limiter.
