I know this is a silly question, but I'll ask it anyway. I was trying to put a rear strut bar on my 2000 gagt and I discovered that there's only one hex nut on all three bolts on the tower. I'm trying to find a nut and washer to put on there but I just can't get the right size. 5/16 is too small and 3/8 is too big. I can't find anything in between. I bought the strut bar from; asked them, but haven't heard any response yet.

Has anyone else tried this strut bar out and if so, what have you put on your towers. I know this is a stupid question but I don't know anyone familiar with this stuff to help me out. Thanks

Use a metric. 8mm IIRC.

i havent put one on this car yet but most american cars are useing alot of metric bolts and nuts now.

also you have to use a nut that has the same type of thread as the bolt or stud its going on, fine, coarse, machine, ect

This suggestion worked. Thank you.

(Apparently, the correct measurement is 8mm x 1.25. These are listed next to the 8mm x 1.0 nuts in the drawer at Home Depot. Don't get them confused because if you do you're out 45 cents.)
