Well after afew hours of testing last night, I came to the conclusion that it is the daytime running light resistor/module. I have a new GM part coming but I need to locate the where abouts of the resistor/module. I'm going to guess that it is located under the dash, I have no probelms taking out the radio cluster. So any help would be great.

Oi...you have an 03. It's just a relay under the hood (DRL) Just yank the relay out and you're good to go. No need to go inside the dash.

Tried the relay all ready, there is part # 25815013 resistor which appers to look like a ballast resistor (white ceramic with 2 pin weatherpack conn) So I'm now going to guess that it is under the hood will have to take a look tonight when I get home from work. Just gald my headlights work at night

What are you trying to do anyway? Deactivate them?

It is my wifes car, I think they have been broken for awhile but I noticed it last night. I dont mind them, have yet to have a bulb die yet. It only has 120,000km on it.

Dude, just keep them off. DRL's are the most useless thing GM puts into their cars.

;1083690']DRL's are the most useless thing GM puts into their cars.

I dont agree with that. I used to drive a 01 Dodge Dakota and it didnt have DRL's and ended up in an accident cuz the other driver "didnt see me". I have noticed that people notice me more with lights on during the day than when I didnt have lights on during the day.... but thats just my opinion lol.

Leave them off an use your fogs.

Hell, I'm trying to figure out how to disable my DRL's on my 02.

Well what ever compent has failed(grounded out) I'm not sure as I dont have fog lights either during the day time. The lights work fine at night and will auto turn on when dark and then my fog lights work. There are no codes or warning lights flashing.

Fogs won't work during the day. You have to turn the headlight switch forward on time.
