However, it would look 100x's better if you lost the dragon....

Listen to me when I say I have an eye for cars, everyone has their own opinion BUT listen up man.. we all know we cant say **** or anything like that cuz the term is "over used" but your car is not **** at all.... Your car is SWEEEEEEET.... Out of all the cars on the board your's is one of my favorites, and I'm the one usually not likin the wing or the *** hood or the kit for that matter, but DAMNNNNN your car is sweeet... I love it, IMO keep the dragon sets the car off man! and do what u think looks sweet and onlyyyyy that cuz 1000 people will say it looks bad or good.... do what u think is good.... ur the one that matters.... cant please anyone but urself!

I invited Nelson back to the board after many dicussions online and at the picnic.

His car looks great in person. I saw it this summer when I was up visiting friends in East Lansing. We drove by the place that he works and saw it in the parking lot. It was a head turner.

The car is thematic. I like what he has done with the dragon and it fits the oriental art motif. The dragon is the artistic theme of the car, from an oriental sense. Indeed, I would love to see something similar on the hood---in a way like the old Firebirds did with their "firebird" hood art. Even the colored windshield wiper arms, which I normally am not particularly wild about, seem to fit and compliment the design. [EDIT: I would also add smoke red headlamp assembly covers, but only if they matched the dragon's color...]

If I were to modify anything it would be to remove the windshield banner and maybe a lower and less aggressive wing. These, for me, pull attention away from the dragon.

Another observation would be the interior... I would make sure the reds inside were the same color as the dragon (Hard to tell on the monitor). And for me, the GRAND AM on the dash could go. It really isn't needed.

And, of couse, this is all very opinionated. I think he has one amazing car. And a repeat...as one guy on the registry wrote, "lose the sticker". It just pulls too much away from the art---seems out of place. I would love to see this car in person. I think the guy needs to be congratulated.

Intersting, definitely interesting. I commend anyone who has obviously put this much time and attention into their car. However, I am really not one for the *** kit....I like the hood, but the kit and tail are not my taste. Either way it's obvious that you have spent a great deal of time (and $$$) to have soemthing different. Sometimes different = controversial, so don't expect everyone to like it.....that's half the fun. It is definitely different!

DUde I have always liked how you did the red in teh fascias, definetly different. Cant say I like the dragon but props for being different. I also have carbon fiber on my *** wing tips. And the Hood is freaking HOTT!!!! I cant wait to get mine!!!

FIRST a comment, compliment, & question for AsianIllusion23 - Different strokes for different. I have never been a fan of the color "Red"... but I love what you did with your car. The Dragons are GREAT by me! Different, sets it apart from others, and definitely Asian... don't change... My question is about your *** taillights... I cannot find anything for my 2002 GA SE... can you give me an idea where to find something like your AEDs?

SECOND - Question for MillenniumGT1 (or anyone else that may know)... I have a Gold (I think it is actually called "Light Champagne Metallic") 2002 GA SE1 and I am using "annodized purple" graphics/highlights. I installed a SD Ram Air hood & installed purple lights in the back of the hood... hoping for a purple glow "from the nostrils," but they are not too bright. I don't think I can cut a hole big enough (or should) to install a purple neon... so what other ideas are out there to add bright enough bulbs to give me a good glow from the nostrils of my Ram Air hood...

Any ideas?

Pics are too small.. Me needs a closer look at engine ...since it's been painted i guess i cant get a closer look at the dragon but how about the inside? Blah, i wish i could keep my car spiffy looking like that but for some reason little rocks and pebbles are attracted to the frontend of my car on highways so i have all these little white spots on the bumper cover :( Oh well. Anyways, for such a pretty car there aren't that many pics :-/

I've seen your car in person man, looks good. Saw it at the HIN in Detroit earlier this year. Looks quite a bit different from the pics orginally posted back in the day, but it's been half a year!. Those tails are from *** for 450.
