Well apparently Im a noobie;crap

Well some here may recall me as the Quad 4 hybrid H.O. LD9 guy. Well Im looking to reduce weight on my Alero. Since a carbon fiber hood for the Alero is not feasible I am looking into swapping my front end for a grand am front along with a carbon fiber hood.

Question is what front end do you recommend. I did notice some very appealing headlights on ebay for the grand am but it states they do not fit the GT model. So what do you recommend?

If it fits a Grand Am of the 99+ model years it will fit a GT as well. Only difference externally between a GT and an SE is the ribbing panels and different styled tails. Fitting of parts is the same across both body styles.

As for recommendations, GT looks better, but after the swap the rest of the body panels probably won't look right altogether.

Okay well apparently only ''" sells it. Is it possible to get just the front lip? Anyone selling one?

I whish there was a better picture of the GT with Alero headlights. I was wondering if it was possible to do the headlights swap because I heat that rubber trip around the headlights in our cars. Now that I see is possible I may think on doing it.

So what's needed to do the swap? alero fenders?

The swap includes the following in my case

Grand am hood, fendors, front bumper, and headlight mounting panel. So if you looking to do the Alero front end swap on your Grand am you will need to do the same but with Alero parts of coarse.

Yes. David is very reliable.

Thanks. Turbo was on the list, which is why I opted for low compression pistons. Yet for unmentioned reasons I needed the car back on the road. So I remained all motor and sold the turbo stuff.

However I was discontented with a all motor running on low compression pistons. Now Im back with a decked polished 086 high compression head, H.O. cams...(I could not wait to get my hands on some W41 cams), SS swirl poslished valves, balance shaft delete and some other goodies.

She's already running I just need to hook up the cooling system and get some bucket seats. If time and funds permit otherwise I might just reupholster the stock seats with black suede.
