It's Never Lighted Up,
Even When I Know My Tires Are Low As S***.

Tire monitoring.. I didn't even know I had that..
It doesnt work, the thing is just a gimick. I've had a total flat before and not a light on the dash.

Grand Am doesn't have it. It was only on certain alero models. ;)

On the Grand AM's: only certain late model '99 models had the tire pressure monitor.
Not sure on the Alero's
But GM stopped putting them in because people complained about them all the time.
It used the ABS system to measure the tires rotation of all tires.
If one tire is spinning more than the rest it trips the light (like down 20 psi).
The real tire monitor pressures that are required on new vehicles are nice.
Instant readings after you start driving it a bit (to activate the wireless transmitters).
But the TPS sensors can be expensive to replace; & the batteries are only good for about 8-years.
