ok i wanted to get the WHISTLER FUZION RADAR DETECTOR, which is discontinued. but whistler makes a motorcycle version still and basically the smae thing. but i think motorcycles run 6v right? if the device is made for 6v, whats happens when i plug it into my car. running 14v?

No, motorcycles are still 12 volt....depending on how old it is I guess.
But every modern bike Ive had experience with has been 12v.

generally the only things that will be 6v are tractors and old (50's and before) cars. My buddy has a 54 Ford and had an argument with a kid at autozone about it being 6v...lol. It also runs a positive ground...really have to be careful wiring it because its all bass ackwards...lol

Why not just get a newer better radar detector that you know is designed for a car? No point in going backwards, technology keeps improving. ;)

I think he wants to get one that'll fit in the gauge pod like I've been wanting

True.... i want it to be in my pod. and this one fits.. its not old . its a radar/laser and all that. the Whistler fuzsion one that is for a car that goes in a pod is discontinued. and not sold on ebay. sucks too, they used to have it on pfyc.com but its no longer there either.
