Yes magic.. hear my out and let me tell ya.

We need to have a magic black box to fool with. So we can ajust our motors to be all they can be. Here's what this box will do and where it will go.

It will go in between the "brain" of our car and the wiring harness. With our little piggyback deal. We can hook up to a laptop and adjust certain values and such so we can fine tune our machines, especially our boosted cars to work to their fullest potential. As well since we would adjust these parameters this box would also send "dummy" signals to the "brain" fooling it that everything is working like stock, and leaving the "brain" to control the menial tasks like lighting and crap. This box would offer UBER tunability while fooling the computer that everythings kosher. it would even come w/ a standard led glow feature where the box would shine for absolutely no reason.

yeh.. folks someone create one so we can play w/ it. It would be a savior for us all.

Yeah its called TEC 3 or Haltech E11 :)

Or you could also do the greddy emange piggy back /safc for basic fuel tuning.

i'm talkin about complete and total plug n play using stock sensors and everything no crazy splicing at all.

ya know that AEM **** is pretty plug n play for most cars except ours.. hehehe.. someone should go and seek sponsorship

well thats never gonna happen lol. There isn't nearly enough demand to make a stand alone computer system for GAs only.

Two Words, MAF Translator, not the best but will allow you to tune spark and fuel at a good price.

While you are at it, have a box made that adds 6 pounds of boost and all I do is plug it into my cigarette lighter.

Im a firm believer in leaf blowers staying out of the engine bay. Magic boxes are more than welcome however:)

I want a magic black box.. why magic black box? cuz it might as well be called a magic black box... Dammit, it would really help tuning things and not worrying about SES lights..

Well, I would imagine that if AEM actually did design one for our cars it would work(without a lot of trouble) on many of the gm models, not just the grand am.

& honestly that would be sooooo freakin cool if they did.. someone should give it a shot and give them a nice and lovely email and postage paid letter and well lots of lovely comments.. I'm willing to take my car over there so they can tweak it.

I thought they were called TechII's not Tech3's. Unless that's the "newest" version.

Yep... there is one for the GTP, but not for us...

Tech 2 and TEC 3 are two different things.

Tech 2 is like an autotap

Electromotive TEC3 is a fully stand alone engine management system.

maybe bug zzperformance.com. they make an iccu for the gp's. it is an lcd screen that you mount in your car. you can then adjust timing, maf signals and some other stuff. you can have two saved modes, one for street, and one saved for track. visit their site for more info.

i don't have this, but i know someone who just got it and it seems pretty neat. you need an autotap to figure out how much you can adjust different things.

that seems like the closest thing to what you want.

Should work without a hitch, you guys ever try one? the only thing i think that might need to be swapped is the MAF the timing should work without any mods.

Nope didn't try it... the need for me was fuel. And I have determined that the injectors are mechanically limiting the power, but the tranny issue came before all that could go further...

Any interest in forged pistons GTPprix? That would allow even larger output than 250-60HP w/some durability remaining...
