hey everyone. ok its been 8 weeks since the ses light came on for the crankshaft position sensor. replaced it one and the harmonic balancer. after the fix it still gave me issues. so i go back in since the sensor is under warrenty. get a new sensor, put it on and put on 150 miles today, and yup she is still doin it. now both times i had replaced the 21x sensor(behind harmonic balancer). error code is....P0336. so the 21x sensor is ruled out. i am going to replace the 7x sensor because i havent done this yet. but i only have the issues under 3 thousand rpm. i was told the 7x measures above like 3 or 4 thousand, so i dont really think this would be the issue, but believe it or not, i could be wrong. do any of u think that this sensor could be the issue? well its 17.99 so why not give it a try. o btw, the car only acts up if it is at FULL running temp and it sits idling for like 5 to10 mins. other then that no issues. and if it is acting up and i start driving, the issue goes away when im driving above 55. ive been battling this one for a while now and its starting to get on my nerves. i have been told it can be wires, the ignition switch, a ground, even the pcm. so idk. and i did check the connections and they are all in good shape. i guess this is what i get at 200.000 miles lol. things could be worse tho. thanks for the input!

need more info because it could be a misaligned crankshaft or could be over tightened bolts or not tight enough

the code the sensor giving u could be a mechanical issue or electrical issue. i also u might have taken apart some thing apart on the motor. find out what the code means

code means crankshaft position sensor malfunction, nothing to do w bolts or anything

check the alignment of the crankshaft and if it is not the problem then it is an electrical issue
