I was wondering how every body had there center console painted 2 different colors. Example Black in the middle and Red on the outside. I've attached a picture to get better idea.

Careful use of painter's tape and an exacto knife.

Jeremy, did you get paint mixed with the paint code from the body color? I want to do my interior the same color as the body in my car. (Polo Green)

Dupli Color actually has a color that is almost a dead on match with the Polo Green. I get it from the local Autozone parts store. You can also get small rattle can's of your color from the parts dept. at GM dealerships.

My silver interior. the pic isn't that great cuz it doesn't show the metallic sparkle it has, but trust me it looks badazz especially when light bounces of it.

No, Its Rustoleum (sp??) 7271 silver metallic. IMO its awfully damn close to the gm silvermist metallic color.

Will that tape peel the paint off if I put it on the paint to paint the other part?

Well when peeling the paint, don't let it completly dry. Let it dry for a while the peel off slowly with an exacto knife. Be cafeful with the knife!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhh dont use gloss paint! It doesnt come out as nice IMO. I sanded the pieces with 600 grit sandpaper then used a few coats of primer then dupli color automotive touch up spray paint for the top coat. No need for a clear coat automotive paint will hold up nicely, clear coats will darken the color up a bit if you dont mind that go for it. The automotive paint has a metalic look to it too so even better

Almost done painting the interior on my new car then I'll have some pics to show
