Question for Speaker Guys

My friend asked me and I didn't want to tell him the wrong answer b/c I am not sure but...How exactly do you wire a dual voice coiled speaker? Do you run the pos to the pos and then to the terminal...I've only had single b4 and I don't know if they are tied together already.

It depends on the sub and the amp. Having dual voice coils allows you to change the ohm rating depending on how you wire it. How stable is the amp? What is the resistance of each voice coil? How many subs are you wiring together?

He says that they are 2 audio bahn 1206q's (the flames?) 4 ohms but work at 2 or 8 and right now a 750 watt amp

It will depend on the amp...

if it is 1ohm stable you would wire everything in parallel.... if it is 4ohm stable you would wire the individual sub coils in series for 2 8ohm subs then wire the subs in parallel for a 4ohm load on the amp...
