my 2.4l tries to die at stop lights. it use to rev up and down but found a hole in the intake. did a generic fix til I get the new intake. it stopped reving after I fixed the hole and now it runs about 500 rpms at idle and wants to die. Think it could be an idle air control valve? Im going to the junk yard and gonna get a new intake (didn't know they could get holes in them. lol) and probably gonna snag a few iac valves and try to swap them out to see any changes. You guys have any other ideas or does it look like I'm goin in the right direction. any ideas would be appreciated.

try dissconecting the battery terminals and holding the pos and neg wires togather for about ten sec. this will drain all reserve power in the pcm and do a full clear. when you had the vacumme leak you car was dumping in extra fuel to compinsate. it now has to try to slowly go back to normal. starting from scratch is useually quicker.
