Anyone had a gas gauge that when you first start it up it seems to be reading correctly but as you drive it goes up to full? Help! Thanks to any insite!

Bad sending unit on the pump. Very common.

Yuck, that figures, I assume this is a tank drop operation?

Fuel level sensor. Part is like $115 i think.
Your gonna need someone to drop your fuel tank, so dont fill up on gas
before you get it done because it will be a pain.

I was wondering why mine did that sometimes - if its intermittent I would wait till it totally fails if you don't have the funds.

Empty the tank, be WELL ventilated, it may have a snap ring holding it in I know GMC has them so have the right tool - And report back is you needed any tools.

Might as well change the fuel filter while you back there and under it - I assume your on a list and not on stands.
