Hi All,

2002 Alero 3.6 GLS - I am losing time on radio while car sits overnight. Car starts in the morning, albeit it takes alittle longer than usaual (3 seconds), and then time is reset.

Had the battery checked, all good. Replaced Alternator two weeks ago. To me this has to be the battery? It is three years old. Battery connections are clean and tight.

Any ideas?

Think about it this way- you may be losing time on the radio but GAINING liters of displacement over every other Alero. Amazing. ;)

Check the second post.

And you have a 3.4L Alero...unless you swapped in something else.

You have to hit Freq Sync to drawing in timing from other Grand Am's in your area... lol lol

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking maybe a bad cable but the fact this happens every morning does not support this. I would imagine if the negative cable was bad, this problem would occur at randomn?

I keep thinking the battery but it was checked at AutoZone. Now, my alternator was bad and replaced about a month ago.

Sorry about the 3.6 :)
