I have the GM manuals for this car and it shows how to install the camshaft.
I know people on here have done it before and was wondering how they went about doing it.
Do you have to pull the motor to install or can you do it a different way?
I have one I want to install but if it's more work than it's worth I think I am going to sell it.
It's a MMS Stage 1 cam.

No, you can't go through the wheel well on these cars. Not without dropping the subframe. The cam is too high since it's a 60 degree block. You need to pull the engine. It's just easier that way anyhow. There's not a lot of room to get the front cover off with the frame rail there.

it HAS been done through the wheelwell, one of the boosted ga's in illinois did it, but imo, its too much hassle to do it that way. pulling the engine is not that hard
