Hey Got a quick question for anyone that can help. Does putting the resistor in place of the IAT sensor really help, and if so how much? I need to know because this dude I work with hs an Integra GSR and is talkin alot of smack. I need to roll all over his punk a** SO just let me Know?

It's really not even worth the $0.15 for the resistor. Most you would ever see would be a fraction of a HP ...

Really I've heard up to a 2 tenths in the quarter gain. Keep in mind where I live it is still 65 degrees daily

Where did you hear that? Must've been eBay! :D

OK, time for a fuel injection lesson:

The IAT measures incoming air temperature and modifies the fuel table accordingly to run the least amount of emissions possible. So, by telling the car the temp is ALWAYS xxx degrees (by inserting whatever value resistor), all you are doing is locking the IAT table to a specific fuel table adjustment. We are talking such minute changes in air fuel ratio that power gain is negligable. Also, by "fooling" the PCM into thinking the air is different, you have now "disabled" the IAT fuel trim capability.

If you want a *REAL* mod, buy an APOC CAI (Cold Air Intake). Get "real" cold air into the engine instead! This should yield around 5HP.

That all sounds good, but ha anyone actually tried it and if so with what kind of results. I believe you and all I just want to know if it has been done what happened?

that picture is hilarious, i need to save that and future use!! as for the IAT resistor, I haven't tried it. For .15 cents you can't expect it to do much if anything at all. I forgot what the dolllar amount per horsepower is but someone once posted on here expect to pay about 100 bucks per 1 horsepower gained or something like that. So for .15 cents theres very little if any.
