View Full Version : oil cooler pipe seal help

this is my first thread i just bought a 2001 grand am se and its leaking tranny fluid from the top fluid cooler pipe seal the one that is on the tranny case is there a way to get them out with out using tool number J-41239-B if so how also what is the part number for the seals thanks for any help

You talking about disconnecting the pipes from the the transmission, or taking the seals out of the transmission case?

Not sure about that. I've never had the need to remove them.

thanks any ways i did find the tool on ebay but i cant find the seals anywere can some one give me the part number i already looked on the parts number thread but its not there

well i found the parts the number is 24221233 now i just need to find out how to install them so they dont leak any ideas

well now i have the two seals out all it took was a flat head screw driver and a hammer no damage to the bore now i have to figure out how to put the new ones in i dont have the specialty tool so it will be interesting to see how this is gonna work if any one has any suggestions that would be great

well looks like i need the specialty tool i just ruined the two new seals
